Case Study: MDT International Web and Brand Re-launch

The first such case study is for a recently completed project that involved a new brand design and redevelopment of an old website - that wasn't fulfilling its potential.


Project background

Management Development International (MDT) is a specialist independent training company serving the global oil and gas industry. MDT run courses in every major oil and gas territory in the world (over 60 different countries), delivering nearly 200 courses every year. The web is a key area for the business with all public course-booking queries being taken online.

The previous MDT site required failed to deliver in a number of areas:

  • The technology behind the site was not delivering any added value to the business and required updating
  • The site navigation and page architecture was complicated and difficult to follow
  • The MDT brand USP’s were not being projected clearly throughout
  • The site design was tired and outdated, requiring a contemporary overhaul

Our solution

The new MDT site clearly and quickly guides the site user towards the section of their choice and removes any barriers to information that featured on the previous version. Complex course calendar information is now streamlined through user-friendly search features. Brand elements are consistent across all pages, with key USP‟s and testimonials being highlighted throughout. Navigation and graphic styling is clean and contemporary. The end result is a dynamic website that functions effectively as both a business and sales tool.
