We are delighted to hear that we have been shortlisted for a Scottish Design Award in the publication category for James Watt’s book – Business for Punks.
Holding the title of the no.1 craft brewery in the UK and one of the world’s fastest growing drinks brands, the time seemed right for BrewDog’s co-founder, James Watt to share his wisdom with the world. Penguin secured the rights to publish James book and offered us the role to art direct, typeset and design all 256 pages of ‘Business For Punks’ – a book that outlined a new approach to business, and an indispensable guide to thriving in the business world...on your own terms.
The brief was simple; design a business book that embodied everything BrewDog, yet ignored everything that traditional business books stood for. The results are a book that the author James Watt, Penguin, and everyone at Hamptons are immensely proud of. The public seemed to agree with us and the book debuted at #1 in the Entrepreneurship category on Amazon.
